Product Description
The G E LIGHTING 49780 is a 60-watt incandescent white globe light bulb designed for decorative and general-purpose lighting applications. Identified by the industry designation 60G40/W, this bulb features a 5-inch diameter globe shape with a medium base and delivers 680 lumens of warm, diffused light. With a rated lifespan of 2,500 hours, it suits fixtures where a classic globe form factor is required. Electricians and lighting contractors install this type of bulb in vanity strips, pendant fixtures, exposed-bulb luminaires, and similar decorative applications. The white finish on the globe provides soft, even light distribution.
This bulb is suited for residential and light commercial settings where a globe-style incandescent lamp is specified. Typical applications include bathroom vanity bars, dressing room mirrors, decorative pendants, and open-shade ceiling fixtures. The medium base (E26) is the standard socket used across a wide range of North American luminaires, making this a straightforward drop-in replacement for existing G40 globe sockets. Sold in a boxed package quantity of 6 units per order.
