Product Description
The ADAMS RITE 8800-36-US32D is a rim type electric strike designed for aluminum stile door exit applications. Electric strikes replace or supplement a fixed strike plate, allowing the door to be released electrically while maintaining a secure latch hold when unpowered. This unit mounts at the rim of the door frame and is built to work with aluminum stile doors commonly found in commercial storefronts and light commercial entry systems. Installation is typically performed by a licensed locksmith, security technician, or commercial door hardware professional.
The 8800-36-US32D is suited for aluminum stile door setups in commercial access control applications. Aluminum stile doors are widely used in retail, office, and light commercial environments where glass storefront entry is standard. This electric strike provides a practical solution for integrating electronic access control into these existing door assemblies without requiring full hardware replacement.
