Black Malleable Iron Caps
Our BMC112 is a 1-1/2″ Black Malleable Iron Cap fitting with one 1-1/2″ female-threaded connection. This fitting lets the user seal the end of a pipeline, allowing for future addition or modification of the system. This black iron cap has a rounded interior to better handle pressure build-up in gas and oil supply lines. Installation of this cap fitting is simple, as it does not require any welding or soldering. An inexpensive thread sealant will be required for a watertight seal. Black iron is resistant to pressure, heat, and corrosion, so it is most often found in gas and oil systems.
